I have read all 30 pages, dissapointed at team leaders comments that they do everything, more than their managers. In our store this is absolutely not the case, we all work very hard, team leaders, managers, and CA's all of us. I agree we are all working harder than ever, with very little overtime or none at all, and the pressure is immense. The better service manager role is in this climate an unnecessary expense as is a greeter at the door. We are facing changes in shopping habits, and economic hardships as is all of Europe. Many customers still want to visit our stores, however when they do we let them down with poor availability pressured staff . It feels that the store is pressured, we never seem to have any time, and I find myself wondering is this because of our mindset, are we all very low, having less money, no way of earning more, as we used to. I think perhaps we have in every store staff who work very very hard and people who do not at every level, have we the correct structures, do we need full time PM,s, do we need full time deputy's, full time better service managers, greeters, top heavy management, we need to look at the whole picture not just the team leaders, who the majority in my store work very hard indeed. It is the managers who do the extra hours though and look after the actual leadership level of achieving targets around the wheel. I personally do not think this is the wisest of decisions, not in the current climate, and not with the very challenging working environments we currently have to deal with.
