I read these comments every day and I find myself agreeing with a core theme, we have good team leaders and we have good managers, we have bad team leaders and we have bad managers. We also waste money on stupid things, better service manager, greeter, full time PM.s, top heavy management in some stores, less in others. One thing is very evident Tesco has become a tough place to work and pressure has increased in our stores since the introduction of overtime loss. Many Mums and couples in my store are desperate for overtime as they are such small contract and if they are a team leader this makes up for it. Trouble is we dont seem to have any overtime anymore, we just have push through except when we get a royal visit then the money flows, along with the cover ups and window dressing. I dont know what we need but we need something fast as morale is at an all time low and the whispers all over the store and long faces sure isnt good for our customers.
