I agree it is very worrying times in deed for the whole store teams however I understand why this is being trailed. I've worked for tesco since 1996 I worked my way up from a GA to a line managers position when I was appointed in 2000. We never used to have team leaders at all I remember people who were on options were called training sponsors. I myself was a training sponsor who took on extra responsibility for no extra pay just the chance to develop myself. It worked then so why would it not work now ? I think if people took the emotion out of it you can really see why tesco has taken the
Decision to do this. I see many posts around "why don't they cut managers out they are lazy ect ect" well it's not safe for managers either our jobs are getting re aligned and
We will have to re apply for our jobs so as to windle out the poor performers.
