Thank you Grocer for this comment page as it answers problems I've been having with obtaining Genius bread. I raved about the 400g unsliced brown loaf since the early days but several weeks ago it started to be unavailable in my local Co-op. I tried the brown sliced and, though the label was in date, thought from the taste & texture that it was 'off'. Now I know it was the new recipe and agree with everyone else who has called it a disaster.
I know I am not alone in having the quality of my life improved immeasurably when Genius came to market and I am saddened that a product founded on genuinely caring principles has lost its way.
To echo Christine (above) they fixed something that wasn't broken - and bodged it.
