Thought I'd update this situation, I am currently working as a Night Team leader for Tesco and now as we know this what's happened in this forum has happened to every Tesco,My job has gone or will go in the 45 days consultation,I know I can't do anything about this,The biggest thing I hate about this is when I had My one on one last night,I was told that it's based on how long I've been at Tesco and the Age I am,they say it's all in what I'm earning,Well,I went through the process,17 years service,my age,12 weeks consultation,all in all it equals to 55 1/2 weeks,My Pm went through with me and asked what my basic wage was,now,I thought that,My contract showed My basic wage per week,so I said,,it was £438 as that is what it shows,she said,,nooooo it's not that much because it's based on your hourly rate only which is £9.09 only,Premiums are not taken into the account.so basically I am being paid as a Day Team Leader,I really think this is unfair,I am going to loose around £6000,I think this just can't be right,I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way?? I thought that the contract you sign is the basic wage???Can anyone update me and let me know if I'm right,£600 is a real lot of money if i'm considering to leave.
