It's the mults who are the king pin here and they are dictating to the processors and processors are then passing the cost to the farmers. It's that simple but they deny this anyway. Others who claim that they are not making any money may be telling the truth but they probably think they have to follow the mults marketing strategy to compete and so the whole sector is forced to distort the market. I am surprised " price fixing " in reverse is something that has not been picked up.Price fixing downwards is just as bad as going the other way ! Hope someone in government takes the lead ?
