So the TL;DR on this: Brexit will benefit me, therefore it's a good idea.

Brexit is good because Tate & Lyle able to bring in cheap sugar from around the world so they can sell more sugar and make more profit. No mention of the health implications for the British public of the availability of increased cheap sugar.

Let's not worry about export duty because *handwave* the EU probably won't put the tariff up to the maximum it can be.

Even the most cursory look at the current rhetoric coming from the EU shows that they're going to do all they can to make Britain's exit from the EU as uncomfortable as possible, if nothing else than to discourage others from following the same path. They're going to be negotiating very hard, and we're hardly in a position of strength to dictate terms.
