Midlands-based Springhead brewery is to supply Sainsbury with its pub-favourite premium blonde beer.
Springhead has brewed Roaring Meg since the early Nineties and the brand is now sold at more than 300 pubs nationally, according to the company.
Bottles of the 5.5% abv premium blonde beer will be sold in 500ml units at Sainsbury from the end of June, priced at £1.49.
Steve Reynolds, marketing director, said: &"We know how popular Roaring Meg has been within the pub trade and so being able to extend the brand into new territory through supermarkets is extremely exciting.&"
