0 Although staff were very efficient and aisles were clean, the fresh produce area was congested with packing trolleys, which made it difficult for our shopper to reach certain items. However, there were plenty of special offers and the store was well presented with a large and attractive flower display. The Ragú sauce was not stocked.

1 There were gaps galore at this busy Sainsbury's and the free-range eggs were out of stock. When asking for directions, our shopper was not personally guided to items but instead verbally given the wrong directions. Although the store layout was logical, not enough tills were open, which caused long queues.

1 The floor at this small store had a grubby and worn appearance. Several products had fallen off shelves and lay in the aisles. There were also gaps on the vegetables and bread shelves. The Warburtons bread was out of stock, while five items were not stocked. The receipt had five errors.

1 Our shopper was met by a chaotic scene with a whole store reorganisation under way. The entire frozen aisle was empty and there were plenty of gaps on shelves. Shoppers were frustrated but staff did their best to locate the missing items. Only the Walkers crisps were out of stock.

2 The staff at this spacious and bright store were extremely well-spoken, smart and chatty. The required size of tinned peaches was out of stock but the displays were imaginatively organised and there were tempting special offers.
