Sainsbury’s customers could earn a voucher for 10p off a litre of fuel if they spend £60 or more at the retailer.
The offer runs from Thursday 24 to Wednesday 30 April, and is available across Sainsbury’s estate as well as online, it said today. Shoppers will have two weeks to redeem their voucher at any of the retailer’s 290 forecourts.
“With the May Day bank holiday approaching and families across the country set to get away to take advantage of the long weekend, we’re sure this offer will be well received by motorists,” said Sainsbury’s head of fuel Avishai Moor.
“We constantly monitor prices across our forecourts to reassure our customers and this latest offer provides drivers with even better value when they fill up with Sainsbury’s.”
The move comes after Tesco launched its Clubcard-based Fuel Save scheme in March. Under Fuel Save, shoppers can earn 2p off a litre of fuel for every £50 they spend at Tesco, up to a maximum of 20p off a litre. Fuel Save runs until 30 September.
