Tesco has finally opened its first Fresh & Easy store in the US.
After years of speculation and planning, the store opened late last week in the small city of Hemet, according to local reports - a week earlier than expected.
It includes a “kitchen table” where staff prepare chicken curry and pizza, as well as self-service checkouts and a large number of own-label products.
Five further stores are expected to open in southern California this week.
