Tesco is pumping new life into its organics offer with onpack stickers featuring the slogan, Why Organic?

Tesco’s customer manager for produce Sally Eglin said the stickers, which explain that organic foods are tasty, non-GM, and good for the soil, will appear on most pre-packed organic fruit and veg.

More indepth customer information about the origins of Tesco’s organic products and details of its work to secure longer term contracts with UK organic farmers, will filter into stores in March.

Tesco has set itself the target of growing organic sales to £1bn by 2006.
