Tesco is partnering with Homebase to bring its home and garden products to supermarkets across the country.
The new business venture will see the retailer stock paint, power tools, home accessories and hardware, among other Homebase products, in its stores.
The Homebase rollout is taking place in time for spring, first launching in Borehamwood on 19 March, followed by Walkden and Woolwich in April.
Additionally, these Tesco stores will sell outdoor furniture, garden decorations, firepits and lanterns. A team of Homebase experts will also be based in each shop to support customers.
“We’re really excited to be partnering with Tesco, bringing our home and garden products and expertise to even more local communities,” said Homebase CEO Damian McGloughlin. “We’re always looking for ways to make it easier for customers to shop with us and teaming up with Tesco means we’re able to do just that.”
Customers will also be able to place their orders on the Homebase website and pick them up from the Tesco stores within one hour via the click & collect service.
This tie-up follows a recent collaboration with Next, which saw eight Homebase garden centres open within 11 of its stores last year. The home and garden company said customers “have loved the opportunity to combine clothes and garden shopping”.
