Tesco reclaims its place at the top of the fascia chart this week closely followed by Asda which has moved up to second place.

Tesco is particularly strong on health and beauty promotions, while Asda features good displays of soft drinks and snacks. Sainsbury and Morrisons both move down the chart, each slipping down by two places.

The category chart is topped by health and beauty and the category is clearly supported by the wealth of activity in Tesco.

Buy-one-get-one-free offers dominate throughout the category and promotions are frequently featured on gondola ends.

While soft drinks continues at number two, snacks moves up two to claim third place. Promotions on snacks make good use of floor stacks and off-fixture displays and the category is supported by Walkers, Pringles and KP among others.

Walkers is back at the top of the promotional chart again, just pulling ahead of Müller which has leapt up the chart from number 10 last week. Though promotions on Walkers are dominated by multibuy offers, price promotions and extra fill offers also feature.

Princes and Dolmio both move up this week while Nestlé and Wall’s are pushed down the chart.

There are four new entries - Quaker, Robinsons, Golden Wonder and Cadbury, the latter the highest new entry coming straight in at number three.

In the own label category chart, frozen continues at number one and stands a full 10% ahead of soft drinks which enters in second place.

There are two other new entries including cakes and biscuits and snacks which come in at numbers four and five respectively.
