Tesco has further extended its brand with the launch of Tesco Law, an online store which aims to sell a range of free and low-cost legal services.
Products on offer include directories of solicitors as well as packs enabling people to construct their own wills and leasing contracts.
The facility has been incorporated into Tesco’s shopping website, Tesco.com, and has been created in partnership with self-help legal publisher Lawpack.
Laura Wade-Gery, chief executive of Tesco.com, said: “Tesco wants to demystify the law by offering shoppers simple and easy-to-understand legal products.”
Alan Chance, director of Lawpack, said: “The law belongs to all of us and we hope we can make it more affordable for more people.
“Anyone who has a straightforward legal problem should start here. We cover a wide range of legal issues and if you need further advice the store will direct you to a solicitor that can help.”
