Consumers will soon be able to get independent advice on the best mobile phone deals at their local Co-op store. The CWS has teamed up with NWP communications in a £5m deal to pilot its Teleworld mobile phone advice units in nine stores. If the venture is a success, said a spokeswoman, "we will roll out the concept nationwide to food and non-food stores large enough to cope with a unit". Most of the multiples sell mobiles but the Co-op is the first to offer deals from all four leading network operators: Orange, Vodafone, BT Cellnet and One 2 One. Telecoms experts from NWP to advise shoppers on the most suitable packages. They will also offer discounts on land lines and internet services. The first instore advice centre opens in the Co-op's Chatham department store in Kent. {{NEWS }}
