Winner – Delamere Dairy Spreadable Goats Cheese
This reformulated product by Delamere Dairy is made with spreadable goats cheese sourced from British goats on local farms across Wiltshire, and ticked all the boxes with our judges. The product was seen as “fresh and enticing” with an eye-catching design to help it stand out on shelf, and a convenient consistency that worked just as well in cooking as spread on biscuits, and could be used straight from the fridge.
The fresh and creamy goats cheese has a natural acidity and soft, spreadable texture. A “mild and smooth” flavour, with a “delightfully pleasant aftertaste” impressed, as did the recyclability of its rPET pot with cardboard sleeve, ensuring the product delivered on taste, functionality and sustainability.
The spread was praised as a user-friendly, everyday product with great versatility suitable for both baking and cooking, that really builds on the consumption occasions for goats cheese. Overall, a “very impressive” piece of NPD, said judges.
