Leaf UK, the supplier of the Chewits confectionery brand, has recruited former Burton’s Foods marketing director Tony Camp to fill the post of managing director.
Camp will join in early April, having quit his last job when Burton’s relocated its sales and marketing functions from Blackpool to St Albans in December. He wanted to remain close to his family.
He takes over from operations and technical director Sean O’Keeffe who has been acting managing director for the last four months since interim managing director Robert
Martens returned to CSM, Leaf UK’s Dutch parent company.
Camp began his career as a production manager at Cadbury Biscuits 23 years ago, but moved into marketing roles.
He said he felt that the experience he had gained in sales, marketing and finance oriented roles over the years had prepared him for the post.
He will oversee the development of Chewits as well as the marketing of the Lutti and Malaco brands and Leaf UK’s activity in private label sugar confectionery.
