Maurice Doyle, commercial director for Barcadi-Martini UK, has been promoted to the position of managing director for global duty free.
Doyle joined Bacardi-Martini in 1987 from P&G as the company’s first new product development manager.
He was promoted to European regional manager in 1995 and managed the innovation sector across Europe, the Middle East and Africa before returning to the UK as marketing director in 1999.
During his time as marketing director, Doyle worked on projects including Bacardi Breezer’s Tom Cat advertising campaign and the launch of two extensions to the Metz brand.
Doyle takes up what is a new role for the company in January and will take responsibility for the strategic direction of the travel retail sector. He will be based at the global brands office in Weybridge and report to Stella David, global chief marketing officer for Bacardi.
