Five readers of The Grocer will be moving into the fast lane for a day after winning a spin at a professional motor racing circuit in our major Red Letters Days reader promotion (The Grocer, May 17, p5).

Five more have won a day for two in the lap of luxury at a top health spa, and 20 more get vouchers for other activities.

Jerry Best, deputy manager at Booker’s Reading depot, won the motor racing option.

He said: “It’s fantastic. I am a big motor racing fan and go to many of the Grand Prix all over the world.”

And spa day winner Claire Hulme, category buyer at the Co-operative Group in Manchester, said: “I am absolutely thrilled as I’ve never been to a health spa before. When you have a family you don’t get the time to do things like this, so this is a real treat.”

Other motor racing day winners were: Gurvinder Mandair, owner, Costcutter, Peterborough; Peter Whitehead, national account manager, Heinz Foods; Ian Carman, store manager, M&S; and Emma Campbell, buyer, Somerfield.

Spa pamper day winners were: Tim Shaw, store manager, Budgens; S Yates, retail manager, Sainsbury; Sue Harris, national account manager, Goldstar Meats; and Tanya Reynolds, marketing manager, Asda.
