Leathley’s Quality Fare plans to open its 20th store next year.

The North Yorkshire based chain acquired a former petrol station site in Tow Law, Weardale, and has been granted planning permission for a 6,500 sq ft purpose built unit, said MD Ian Leathley. He added that the chain would acquire further sites, if opportunities arose.

The Nisa supplied chain is now seven stores into a roll out of digital CCTV cameras across its Northumberland and North Yorkshire estate. It is number 28 in The Grocer’s Top 50 list with sales of £29.2m.
