Swiss chocolate specialist Lindt is spending £1m on promoting its Lindor truffles brand in the run-up to Christmas, with an initiative that includes TV advertising, door-to-door sampling and tailored promotions. A Lady in Red' ad campaign hits TV screens on November 24 and runs for two weeks. It is designed to emphasise Lindor's indulgent image and reinforce the Lindt brand's generic Taste the Passion' message. During the autumn, four and a half million households will receive a lifestyle questionnaire. If recipients complete the form in time for collection the following day, they will be given a free 200g box of Lindor truffles worth £2.99. All multiple grocery chains will be able to offer 25% extra free on the 200g box, and a festive gold sleeve. Between December 1 and 8 (Lindor Week), independent retailers will be able to offer a Swiss holiday instant-win promotion as well as sampling. {{P&P }}
