This year's Christmas edition of BBC Good Food magazine is expected to sell over half a million copies, said publisher BBC Magazines. The magazine is on sale on November 13, priced £2.30. On the same day, BBC Magazines will again also be publishing a one-shot BBC Good Food Vegetarian Christmas edition (£2.50) following sales of 65,000 for the first BBC Good Food Vegetarian Christmas last year. Both titles will be supported by PoS activity and distributed by Frontline.

n Last Ministry
Ministry of Sound is closing its flagship magazine. The December Ministry will be its last, although the company plans to launch a magazine next year to replace it. In the last set of ABCs Ministry's circulation fell 22% on the previous quarter to 65,030.

n Vampire fun
Angel Special is a one-shot publication that goes on sale on December 26, priced £4.99. Based on the TV show, the title is published by Titan Books and distributed by Comag.

n Santa one-shot
BBC Magazines is publishing a one-shot Santa magazine for three to five-year-olds. The 32-page title (£1.99) comes with two covermounted gifts ­ a Christmas tree puzzle and stickers. Distribution is by Frontline.

n Good read at Asda
According to the latest Insight report from Comag, supermarkets continue to see an increase in performance in magazine sales. Asda in particular is showing tremendous growth. In September the best week showed growth of 20% year-on-year, with the worst week still showing growth of 14%. Sainsbury is 9% up on news and magazines year-on-year to date.
