Brewer SABMiller has offered to buy the shares that it does not already own in its Ecuadorian subsidiaries Compania de Cervezas Nacionales (CCN), Cerveceria Andina and privately owned Agrilsa Agricola for $88m (£47m).

CCN and Cerveceria Andina are Ecuador's largest and second-largest brewing businesses respectively. They both produce SABMiller's full portfolio of Ecuadorian beers.

Barry Smith, president of SABMiller South America, said: “This process will move us one step closer to integrating our excellent businesses in Ecuador into a single company, with world class facilities.”
