Festive Weight Watchers treats are on their way to the market.
Anthony Alan Foods, which manufactures a range of Weight Watchers lower-fat cakes, has a new portfolio featuring Christmas cake slices (rsp: £1.99 for six), mini yule logs (rsp: £1.09 for six), mince pies (rsp: £1.49 for six) and an individual Christmas pudding (rsp: £1.09). The products are available from September.
A mince pie contains 148 calories, 2g of saturated fat and a points value of 2.5.
Marketing director Sarah Morgan said: “Offering healthier options of Christmas treats may seem like a paradox, but it is what consumers are looking for.’
Another company supplying Weight Watcher products under licence, Walkers Shortbread, is coming out with Winter Spice Cookies containing cinnamon and nutmeg. Individual portion packs of two cookies are available from September (rsp: 85p per 6x2 pack).
