April 7, 1990. A range of green products is to be launched next week  with the express aim of "intensifying the environmental product war". The Green Alternative brand will cover 18 household lines, some of which represent "firsts" in the field, according to the two bodies behind the venture: environment consultancy Landbank Trust and "private label specialist" Intalink 92, which will handle marketing. Landbank is endorsing the products via its head, Bryn Jones, the veteran campaigner who was chairman of Greenpeace and a founder of Ark. It will also gain 2p from each sale to fund projects such as tree planting. {{COUNTERPOINT }}
