Waitrose's wine buyers have been given a starring role in the retailer's latest TV campaign. The 30-second advertisement features five of Waitrose's Masters of Wine and a sizeable gathering of its branch specialists, all of whom are seated at a long table 'nosing' different types of wine. The advertisement, partly filmed on location in South Africa, and partly in front of a blue screen in a studio, was designed to communicate the expertise that Waitrose wine specialists could offer.

"Waitrose wine expertise is present at every level of the supply chain, from choosing the wine in the vineyard to selling in our branches," said Waitrose wine buying manager Justin Howard-Sneyd. "Our customers can now see for themselves just how passionate we are about the wines we source and sell."

The advertisement is airing until 8 April.
