A new authentic range of Asian sauces and dips under the Worldfoods banner is being introduced to the UK.
The Worldfoods range comprises 10 stir-fry and pour-over sauces, three Thai curry stir-fry pastes and six dipping sauces. All are imported from south-east Asia and distributed and marketed in the UK by Eurofood Partners.
Tesco has listed four stir-fry sauces - including Burmese Pineapple and Cambodian Lemon Grass (rsp: £1.69 for 340g) - which are rolling out to stores now. The multiple has also taken all three Thai curry stir-fry pastes - Green, Red and Yellow Curry (£1.49 for 220g) - and four of the six-strong dipping
sauces range, including Thai Sweet Chilli with Kaffir Lime and Vietnamese Hot Chilli Garlic (99p for 150ml). The Thai curry pastes are also available in a pour-over sauce format.
David Jones, director at Eurofoods, said the new ranges targeted adventurous consumers looking for new tastes and flavours.
He added: “Our ambition for Worldfoods is to be a significant and innovative brand in the development of the south-east Asian market.”
