Spar has launched a new own label snacking range to tap into consumer demand for healthy treats.
The range of dried fruit, unsalted nuts, seeds and chocolate mixes come in eight ‘eat now’ £1 price-marked packs and five larger resealable sharing bags (rsp: £2).
The ‘eat now’ range comprises of berry mix, Brazil nuts, fruit & nut seed mix, unsalted cashews, mixed nuts, almonds, dried mango and chocolate fruit & nut mix.
The sharing range includes walnuts, almonds, unsalted cashews, dried mango and mixed nut variants.
“With the current trend for health and wellness, consumers are looking for alternative snacking options that meet their needs for a healthy, tasty treat,” said Spar brand director Susan Darbyshire.
“As a result, the category is growing at 12% year on year, making this the perfect time for the Spar brand fruit, nuts and seeds snacks to launch. With all the bestsellers in the category available in the range, packaged in handy resealable bags, we’re confident this range will be a success for our retailers.”
The new range will be available to retailers from 3 November and will be supported by merchandising materials including PoS, barkers posters and stands, as well as Spar social media activity and sampling.
