Bidvest Logistics has won a substantial contract to supply restaurant company Tragus Group's 300 outlets following an "intense tender process".
The five-year contract to deliver to restaurants including Café Rouge, Bella Italia and Strada had previously been handled by Wincanton. Bidvest will start deliveries to the restaurants, which serve more than 21 million meals each year, on 5 September.
MD Andrew Selley said the win was a fantastic endorsement of Bidvest's work. "Tragus has decided to move its business to us because of our strong commitment to customer service and our long-term plans for the business," he said.
Phil Cooke, Tragus Group head of procurement, added that Bidvest was "a reliable platform of good operational and customer service".
"We look forward to working together to strengthen our business," he said.
