Coca-Cola’s Premier League sponsorship deal no doubt cost it a pretty penny, so it’s no surprise to see it producing an expensive-looking ad.
The ad focuses on the fans. Every club is in, with Punjabi Spurs, Leicester Ladies and Chelsea pensioners among the diverse lineup (only the yob community miss out).
Less expected are the splashes of surrealism. One of the fans is a West Ham-supporting snail. And while a cameo from Man United hero Jesse Lingard isn’t a surprise, one from Wolves legend Kenny Hibbitt - in a magically animated jigsaw puzzle - most certainly is.
Pundit Jermaine Jenas, meanwhile, materialises in some battered chip shop cod. Weirder still, he’s discussing a good performance by Fulham.
