After a not-very-long break, Premier League football is back – but Covid means fans still can’t go back to stadia to support their teams.
Coca-Cola has hit upon a nice way to make the absence a little less miserable for some of them: by getting Liverpool’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford (a man whose ‘good bloke’ stock couldn’t be any higher) to pay them a visit and drop off some club goodies (and Cokes, obviously). They get invited to a future game, too.
The idea is to ‘make your home the home end’ (for now, anyway). These deserving fans (Red Devil Matt works at a youth club that’s linked with the Felix Project, for example) react beautifully, while the footballers are adorable. Heart-warming stuff.
