Sir: Lion eggs are not the only eggs that are safe (‘Could salmonella outbreak be linked to imported eggs?’, thegrocer.co.uk, 15 August). We have been vaccinating our hens before the large producers thought it would be a good idea if they resurrected the old lion that the egg board used. We are Laid in Britain producers - a family firm selling eggs in Cornwall employing 10 staff.
