We enjoyed the self-unaware ‘student storecupboard’ in Waitrose’s mag last week. It touted boullion powder, organic cider vinegar and Tamari soya sauce as essential elements of a student ‘starter kit’.
The piece attracted plenty of online snark, including from the smartypants behind Sainsbury’s social media output, who promptly tweeted a picture of two items from its Basics range: pasta shapes and cheddar. This might have worked better if cheese went in a cupboard, though, eh?
