The Convenience Conference and Awards, originally scheduled for mid-May, has been postponed until 1 October due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
The two events are organised by William Reed under the banner of leading brands Convenience Store, The Grocer, Him and MCA Insight. Both will be held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London, with the awards hosted by double Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes.
“Due to these unprecedented circumstances, there is no doubt that the industry event calendar will become crowded.,” the organisers said this week. “However, knowing the fantastic convenience community, that is becoming a shining light amongst local communities at this challenging time, we are confident that this will be the biggest event in the convenience retail calendar this year.
“We look forward a fantastic day and night that showcases and celebrates the very best people, retailers, companies and initiatives.
“All existing sponsorship and ticket bookings remain in place and will be transferred automatically to the new date. We would like to thank our sponsors, speakers, and delegates for their continued support and patience during this challenging time.”
