Champion: Abel & Cole - Refillable Plastic Milk Bottle

It’s a double award win for Abel & Cole’s Refillable Plastic Milk Bottles, having walked away with the prize for Sustainability Initiative of the Year at this year’s Grocer Gold Awards, but the innovation is more than deserving of another trophy.

The trailblazing reusable plastic milk bottle was added to its Club Zero range back in October 2023 and uses 100% Polypropylene to create a milk container that allows for up to 15 refills before any signs of degradation, without the weight of glass bottles. The solution has already saved 236,155 single-use plastic bottles and won plaudits from our judges for its innovativeness and ambition.
