What was your first job? Door-to-door snow shovelling in bleak Chicago winters for $20 - I made $300 one day when I was 10 and my mum thought I’d nicked it.
What’s been your worst job interview? Wasn’t quite a job, but I had a crack at The Apprentice when I was 18 and my business plan got absolutely shredded in one of the final interviews.
What was the first music single you bought? Still D.R.E. - Dr Dre. Can’t beat a bit of old school hip-hop.
How do you describe your job to your mates? Dealing the best beer with my best mate.
What is the most rewarding part of your job? Walking past a pub we’re stocked in and spotting randomers getting stuck into our beer.
What is the least rewarding part? Startup life has a lively pace, so red tape detours can be frustrating.
What is your motto in life? Build it and they will come.
If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? Compulsory company ski trip… watch this space!
Do you have any phobias? That there’s something really important to do with starting a business that we haven’t done - the whole thing has been a bit of a wild ride which is equally exciting and scary.
What luxury would you have on a desert island? A pub. I’d struggle to sit on a beach without a beer.
What animal reflects your personality? Probably a dolphin - free to roam, like to be around people and can’t stay in the same place for long.
What’s your favourite film and why? Into the Wild - it follows the journey of a guy who ventures away from the well-worn path to pursue adventure and live in the wild rather than climb the corporate ladder.
What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? I was at a busy public swimming pool when I was eight and my friend pulled my swimmers down whilst I was standing on the edge of the pool. Everyone was laughing at me.
Which celebrity would you most like to work with and why? Candide Thovex, what a legend. We’ve gone off-piste with a more adventurous style of beer and Candide lives off-piste, doing risky ski stunts for the thrill of the adventure.
