What was your first-ever job? My first job was actually my first role in the drinks industry. I was 16 and it was a part-time summer job that involved packing boxes of grocery PoS in a warehouse.

What was your worst job interview? For a waiter’s position at a local restaurant. It was terrible - I had no idea what to expect and was completely unprepared! However, the gift of the gab obviously got me through, as by the end of the day I’d got the job.

What was the first music single you bought? Coffee & TV by Blur.

How do you describe your job to your mates? They think I sit in bars all day drinking cocktails…

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Watching the Midori marketing programme develop from small ideas into a full-blown programme of events. Also, seeing the results in brand growth year-on-year - Midori has experienced 4% growth in the UK in the past year alone.

What is the least rewarding part? Number crunching.

What is your motto in life? Just do it.

What’s your nickname? All my uni friends call me ‘Sir Limpalot’ because I turned up for my first day on crutches. It stuck and even my best friend’s parents refuse to call me by any other name.

If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? There’s nothing better than hitting the ski slopes, so a chalet in the Alps.

What’s your favourite movie and why? The original Italian Job. It’s a great all-round movie with an amazing cast, breathtaking scenes and the ultimate ‘what happens next’ ending.

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? When I was a newbie at Midori I tried to show off in a training session by pretending to be Tom Cruise in Cocktail. I was using a shaker from the bar and didn’t seal it correctly. I ended up covering my colleagues in Midori.

Any phobias? No… unless a fear of budgets counts?!

If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be and why? Morgan Freeman. He’s a leader in his profession and not a follower, which I admire. He’s also got the best voice.

What animal best reflects your personality? A monkey - playful, fun but can knuckle down when needs be.
