AB InBev is lowering the abv of packaged Budweiser from 4.8% to 4.5%, while raising the content of its draught product from 4.3% to 4.5% in an effort to streamline production.
New 500ml 4.5% abv packs will roll into stores from December 2017, with remaining formats following. The move would “result in overall units being taken out of the UK market”, said AB InBev, and was “in line with the government’s public health objectives, as well as consumer tastes.”
