Rsp: £4 for a pack containing a two-portion bag
Competition: Birds Eye and Young’s cook-in-bag options
The consumer
The fish tastes really fresh. I have tried bagged fish before but this was 10 times better! It breaks up nicely and was soft and lovely. I shared a two-portion bag with my sister my husband laughed when I offered him half but there was plenty for the two of us. Girls' portions I would say! The packaging is trendy and very appealing and would catch my eye when shopping. I will definitely be buying this again and will also be recommending it to friends and family.

This is an excellent range. I sampled the salmon option and found the fillets to be a good size. The fish taste fresh and the spiced sauce adds a nice touch of flavour. The cooking procedure was nice and easy and created no smell, or mess. With the right support, this range should do well. Speaking from a consumer point of view, the bright contemporary packaging would be sure to catch my eye and I would definitely be tempted to buy.

Seachill's chilled rival to Birds Eye and Young's cook-in-bags certainly delivers on flavour and usability, especially for people who don't like touching fish. I prefer the texture to its frozen competitors and the sauce was really enjoyable with a nice clean, buttery flavour. At £4 for two fillets it is pricier, but I think Seachill is on to a winner as shoppers will pay more for the fresh option. My only reservation? The second fillet was a bit too small.
