Company: Sharwood's
Price: £1.39 per bag or jar
Expert's verdict:... 18/25
?This range of snacks and dips stands out strongly and highlights the Sharwood's brand well. The packs look authentic while maintaining a mainstream image, providing maximum appeal to consumers. The packaging brings the range together well. The snacks taste great when eaten with the dips, but they might struggle to impress if consumed on their own, as they are rather bland. This product is likely to go down well with consumers, although it is a little expensive. I think a £1.09 to £1.19 price tag would have worked better.

?The bright colours on the packaging would definitely draw me to the products when shopping. When I opened the snack bags, they smelled delicious. Unfortunately, the taste did not quite live up to expectations when eaten on their own, although the texture was crisp. However, this was not an issue when eaten with the dips, which were delicious. The fact that these are made only with natural ingredients would encourage me to buy them again.

WeightWatchers Savoury Biscuits
Company: Walkers Shortbread
Launch price: £1.09
Today's price: £1.09
Acid test verdict: 27/50
This savoury option from WeightWatchers has failed to set the better-for-you biscuit aisles alight so far. While manufacturer Walkers Shortbread said sales had been consistent, it also admitted the product "could have taken off a little more strongly". Still, with listings in Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose and a number a smaller retailers, the company is not ready to throw in the towel just yet. The range is getting a makeover, including more contemporary packaging.
