Tony Bromwich has been appointed sales director at the wholesale arm of AF Blakemore & Son.
Bromwich is to join at the end of the month from frozen specialist McCain Foods (GB) where he was retail sales controller. He will replace John Liptrot, who left in January to become MD of Cadbury factory outlet Freshstores after a year in the job.
Bromwich's primary task will be to help Blakemore Wholesale grow its delivered business from £30m to £100m in the next five years.
"We have big plans to grow our wholesale business and someone like Tony, with his obvious experience, will be a welcome addition to our team and help us gain a broader customer base for our delivered operation," said Blakemore Wholesale MD Sam Wilcox. "Our business is evolving and we think that from our recently opened delivered warehouse in Wednesbury we can offer an excellent delivered national service."
A spokesman for McCain said Bromwich would be missed after his four years at the company.
"We would like to thank Tony for the tremendous contribution he has made to support the growth of our retail sales operation and wish him the best of luck for the future," said the spokesman.
"Alison Carsley-Lebatard will be replacing Tony and joins McCain Foods from Young's Seafood, where she was account group director for several high-profile retail customers. We look forward to welcoming Alison and watching her develop this important part of our business."
