Aldi’s latest TV advert plays up its British beef credentials.
The 25-second spot features three Aldi beef farmers on haystack, and ends with the caption ‘100% Fresh British Beef’. The video can be viewed here.
The discounter’s latest advert comes in the wake of further revelations of beef contaminated with horsemeat.
On Tuesday, Asda announced a recall of French-produced tins of corned beef adulterated with horsemeat that had tested positive for the veterinary drug phenylbutazone, or bute.
Yesterday, Dutch authorities recalled 50,000 tonnes of beef over horsemeat contamination fears.
