Intersnack Group has named Angela White as director of sales for Intersnack UK and Andy Riddle as director of sales for KP Snacks as the company prepares to integrate the two companies.
Intersnack acquired KP Snacks from United Biscuits in January 2013. The companies have been operating as separate businesses, but are now preparing to integrate.
White, who moves up from the role of trading controller, will initially focus on the current Intersnack UK portfolio but from 1 January will focus on own label for the enlarged business, with the title of director sales, KP Snacks retailer brands. She has also worked for United Biscuits and PepsiCo.
“There is a great opportunity to change the landscape within the crisps, snacks & nuts category and I believe we are well positioned to be a partner of choice through our wealth of insight and our ability to innovate,” she said. “Our strength in brand and retailer brands makes us unique and I believe this will be viewed positively in the trade.”
Riddle will be responsible for the branded sales side of the business. He has previous experience at Premier Foods, Kraft and Mars.
“I am delighted to be joining and look forward to my team developing category growth programmes with our trade partners,” said Riddle. “We’ll be looking to add unique value to our relationships through our snack-centric consumer, shopper and category insight, fantastic brands with strong need-based activation, and innovation plans.”
