Arla Foods has launched a raft of new products across its branded yoghurt range.
The dairy giant has expanded its Lactofree, Skyr and Protein brands as part of new investment into its yoghurt portfolio.
Arla has launched a Lactofree natural yoghurt (rsp: £1.85/400g) which is high in protein, contains added vitamin D and has no lactose.
The larger format has been designed to provide shoppers with the option to enjoy Arla Lactofree natural yoghurt at any time of the day whether at breakfast, as a snack or in cooking.
The company has also extended its Skyr range with Skyr Whipped (rsp: £1.25/120g) in three flavours: Strawberries & Cream, Caramelised Orange, and Coconut & White Chocolate.
The brand said it offered a blend of feel-good indulgence, as it includes a protein-rich and creamy Icelandic-style skyr, whipped to be light and airy, layered over fruit compote. It is the “perfect anytime snack”.
Arla Protein has also launched a 450g pot in Vanilla and Strawberry flavours (rsp: £2.25/450g), containing 45g of protein.
“It’s been nearly 10 years since we brought our first Arla yoghurt to the UK market, and as the UK’s largest dairy co-operative, and one of the largest food & drink companies in the country, we are proud to be expanding our yoghurts portfolio to offer increased choice for those looking for natural and nutritious food options,” said Catriona Mantle, associate category director at Arla Foods.
“Health and taste are the biggest reasons shoppers are generally consuming yoghurts, but we also know that shoppers aren’t shopping for ‘yoghurts’, they’re shopping for specific occasions,” added Mantle. “We are therefore offering shoppers a choice, whether they’re looking for a yoghurt to meet functional needs, big or small serving sizes, or for a particular level of indulgence.”
