Classic frozen food brand Aunt Bessie's is to be revamped, with even Bessie herself getting a makeover.
Tryton Foods is relaunching the brand following consumer demand for traditional and high quality convenience foods.
"Traditional home-cooked food is back on the agenda," said commercial director John Hendy.
The new design aims to give the brand greater impact with a more contemporary look, while Aunt Bessie herself has been re-illustrated to give the brand a more premium feel.
Tryton is also launching a new range called Aunt Bessie's Best, which initially includes only Yorkshire Puddings, but more products will follow.
The Best Yorkshire Puddings, which are priced £1.49 for a pack of eight, are cooked in larger tins to create a larger and deeper product with a more home-made feel.
Tryton will spend £5m on marketing over six months from this autumn, of which £1m will be dedicated to the launch of the Best range.
