Aunt Bessie’s is launching a “gigantic” Yorkshire pudding and two veg sides into Sainsbury’s.
The brand’s existing Giant Yorkshire will be replaced by the Gigantic Yorkshire, which was 20% bigger and featured a “new and improved” recipe, said Aunt Bessie’s.
The NPD was aimed at shoppers looking to add a twist to their traditional roast dinners, it added.
The brand has also secured Sainsbury’s listings for its Cauliflower Cheese Topped with a Crispy Breadcrumb and Broccoli Florets in a Lemon & Black Pepper Glaze, which launched into Iceland Food Warehouse and Ocado at the end of 2021.
All three products will roll into the retailer on 27 March (rsp: £1.40-£2.75/135g-380g).
“With higher walls and a more homemade appearance, the new Gigantic Yorkshire puddings will grab the attention of shoppers who are looking to make an impression at the table”, said Aunt Bessie’s head of marketing Claire Hoyle.
“Following two years of restricted celebrations, we’re now seeing a renewed focus on show-stopping roast dinners that create an even more special moment around the dinner table.”
It comes after the brand last year relaunched its frozen roast potatoes with a new recipe it claimed was its “crispiest and fluffiest” yet.
