Beavertown Brewery is moving into light lagers.
The craft brewer, part-owned by Heineken, has debuted Sunlight, a 3.8% abv beer.
The drink is billed as a “light, mega-sessionable, and easy-drinking” beer offering “a step back from all of the full-flavour beers when the sunshine puts you in the mood for something more casual”.
It was “suited for drinking over a longer period of time – perfect for relaxing at the beach or in the park, camping with your friends, or simply sipping in the garden”, said the brand.
It has rolled into Beavertown’s webshop (rsp: £2.10/330ml).
It’s the second NPD from the brand to be unveiled this month. Earlier in May, Beavertown launched its first gluten-free beer, the 4.7% abv Critical Mass IPA.
The launch comes on the back of a solid year in the mults for Beavertown. Over the 52 weeks to 1 January 2022 its Neck Oil and Gamma Ray brews grew their value sales by 50.1% and 20% respectively, and ranked among the top five highest grossing craft beers in UK retail.
