Budgens is revamping its own-label spirits range to give it a more stylish and consistent shelf presence.
The relaunch, in two phases, consists of new artistically illustrated label designs with a more consistent look. The new identity is being introduced on vodka, gin and Scotch whisky this month, followed by sherry, cognac, brandy and white rum next year.
The process would make the products more identifiable to shoppers, said Jemima Bird, marketing director, Budgens. "The relaunch is a respond to increasing consumer demand for value-for-money drinks that do not compromise on quality." A focus on Budgens' wine range was in the pipeline for next year, she added.
The move forms part of owner Musgrave Retail Partners' plans to reformulate and repackage as many as 600 products across its Budgens and Londis facias by the end of this year.
