Budgens retailer C T Baker has invested £45,000 in a new home delivery fleet.
The retailer, which offers free delivery for grocery orders over £20, has invested in two new commercial vehicles to meet a “surge in demand” for its home delivery service.
Budgens has bought a Peugeot Boxer Professional L3H2 for its Holt store and a Nissan NV400 for its store in Aylsham, both of which feature chillers and redesigned liveries.
C T Baker reported a particular increase in demand for its delivery service in the Cromer and Sheringham area as part of its wider delivery base across North Norfolk and Broadland.
The retailer offers same-day and next-day delivery on telephone orders and gives in-store customers the option of having their shopping delivered to their homes.
“In a supermarket industry synonymous with large-scale corporate chains, customers can rest assured of a personalised home delivery service led by the well-established, local, family-run independent business that is C T Baker Budgens stores,” said C T Budgens MD Michael Baker.
“C T Baker has provided for the community of North Norfolk for 247 years. This is just a continuation of our commitment to customer service.”
